Ugh, man, so many blog posts have been written about this card. It’s one of the biggest examples of the design used in Magic, which some people really hate - is it ok to make intentionally bad cards, or things that nobody will use except that one guy? Is it ok to create Mythic Rares? Should the best cards be the most common ones, or the rarest ones? I actually find their design decisions really interesting, but I haven’t really thought about it in years since I don’t play anymore. I know I’ve read interesting things about design in Magic in the past, but I’ve never posted them because nobody would read them.

The odd game of non-competitive Magic is always fun, though!
