Your best bet is probably just to send me an e-mail, then I can read and respond at my leisure. But I have a history of long-winded e-mails, and I try to be available for instant messaging as an alternative.

Sadly, I do get spammed (mostly on AIM), so I deny by default. Try to send an authentication message like “yo dawg i heard u liek instant messaging” or something. I can’t guarantee the message will survive the non-standards-conforming code that makes up my open-source IM client - but a man can dream, can’t he?
